Hein Viljoen Physiotherapy is a holistic, evidence-based practice in the heart of Cape Town. Our methodology goes beyond simply treating symptoms and reducing pain; instead, we focus on in-depth evaluations to pinpoint and address the cause of your condition.
We value clinical research, so we continually invest in our education and equipment to stay current with the latest advancements in physiotherapy. We use various manual therapy techniques to get our patients moving and training without restriction.
Our services include diagnostic ultrasound to evaluate soft tissues, muscles, and tendons for injuries, shockwave therapy to treat conditions like tennis elbow, golfer's elbow, calcifications, plantar fasciitis, and overuse-injuries of tendons, as well as high-power laser therapy for muscle strains, lower back and neck pain, hamstring and glute injuries, plantar fasciitis, fibromyalgia, and temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMJ). Additionally, we offer dry needling, strapping, kinesio taping, and physiotherapy home visits for patients requiring treatment in the comfort of their homes.
While we treat many conditions, we are especially interested in sports physiotherapy, orthopaedic rehabilitation, and women’s health.
Cape Town High-Performance Centre
Since 2023, Hein Viljoen Physiotherapy has been located in the Cape Town High-Performance Centre, where a multidisciplinary team comes together to ensure the best outcomes for our patients. Here, we bring together a team of skilled professionals under one roof: physiotherapists, biokineticists, personal trainers, sports massage therapists, a general practitioner and a sports physician. This collaborative approach gives us a unique advantage — our ability to communicate seamlessly ensures that each patient receives holistic, well-rounded care.
Being in the same building lets us easily consult one another on treatment plans, ensuring everyone is on the same page. It is also incredibly convenient for our patients, allowing them to complete their recovery journey in one place.
