Hein Viljoen is keen on sports injuries and orthopaedic conditions. He never passes up a learning opportunity and continually expands his expertise through professional development courses. Hein Viljoen completed his studies in Physiotherapy in 2012.
By nurturing a collaborative relationship, Hein empowers his patients to participate in their recovery journey, ultimately helping them improve their quality of life. As a lifelong learner always looking for innovative ways to serve his patients, he has completed numerous courses, including Sports Physiotherapy (SPT1).
With a profound love for the outdoors and all things sports-related, Hein participates in various multi-sport activities. He has completed endurance events like Ironman 70.3, Knysna Big 5, Panorama Tour, 94.7 Cycle Challenge, and the Cape Town Cycle Tour. His experiences give him a deep understanding of the unique physical demands placed on athletes and individuals striving for higher performance.
Ashleigh has a passion for treating neck and back pain. Ultimate well-being is her goal, and she frequently incorporates her love for Pilates with physiotherapy. Ashleigh, originally from Gqeberha, moved to Cape Town to study Physiotherapy at the University of Cape Town.
Since then, she has worked in private practice, continuously expanding her skill set. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Ashleigh treated COVID-19 patients in the Western Cape Public Health Care system. She also co-authored a peer-reviewed journal article on long-COVID, making her well-equipped to support patients in their recovery from the virus.
Ashleigh is dedicated to professional growth, having completed numerous courses and making significant progress toward her Advanced Neuromusculoskeletal accreditation.
Additionally, Ashleigh has received training from the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute.In her free time, Ashleigh enjoys staying active through hiking, outdoor activities, and weight training.
Melissa Viljoen has a wealth of experience in hospital and outpatient settings. She is passionate about women’s health and likes to support women on their unique pregnancy and postpartum journeys. Melissa Viljoen graduated from Stellenbosch University in 2012.
She has honed her skills in hospital settings, providing care to individuals with respiratory, post-surgical, trauma, neurological, and general medical conditions.
In addition to her hospital experience, Melissa significantly contributed to outpatient settings. Her expertise in acute and chronic neurology enabled her to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring a holistic approach to patient care.
She has a genuine passion for women’s health and pursued specialised courses in the field. As a mother of two young children, she personally navigated the challenges of pregnancy and postpartum experiences, which ignited her enthusiasm to assist other women on their individualised peripartum paths.
Melissa maintains an active lifestyle, participating in activities such as running, hiking, and chasing after her two lively toddlers.
Jason is an avid sportsman and is enthusiastic about sports physiotherapy. He is currently the physiotherapist for the Namibian Men's Hockey team and has a special interest in treating lower limb injuries. Jason graduated from the University of Cape Town in 2018.
He has a holistic approach to rehabilitation and combines evidence-based practices with compassion to treat a wide range of conditions.
With a strong background in hospital and sports physiotherapy, Jason has worked with the Namibian National Women’s and Men’s Hockey Teams, and accompanying them to the 2023 Indoor Hockey World Cup stands as a career highlight.
